A New Parkinson’s Exercise Class at Inline Physio
We’re currently looking at introducing a Parkinson’s-specific exercise class at Inline Physio, and wanted to share a bit more about what this could look like.
Why exercise for Parkinson’s?
We know that the right type of exercise can make a real difference for people living with Parkinson’s.
It can help with things like:
- Balance and reducing the risk of falls
- Strength and general mobility
- Walking and coordination
- Confidence in day-to-day movement
Just as importantly, it helps people keep doing the things they enjoy for longer.
What would the class involve?
This would be a small group class led by one of our physiotherapists, designed specifically for people with Parkinson’s.
Sessions would focus on:
- Strength and functional movement
- Balance and coordination
- Practising bigger, more controlled movements
- Challenging both the body and the brain in a safe way
Everything would be adjusted to suit each person, so you can work at the right level for you while still being challenged.
Who is it for?
This class would suit people with Parkinson’s who want to stay active, improve their confidence with movement, and be part of a supportive group environment.
