Physiotherapy for NDIS Clients
Inline Physio Moorooka, Samford and Ashgrove welcome NDIS clients who are self-managed or plan-managed. However, as we are not a registered NDIS provider, we cannot accept NDIA-managed clients. For plan-managed clients, a service agreement must be completed prior to your first appointment. This will be sent to you by our team for completion.
In line with recent NDIS legislation, all services we provide—whether therapy or products—must directly relate to the disability listed in your NDIS plan. To ensure compliance, your therapist will need to know the specific disabilities outlined in your plan. If you’re unsure about this information, it is your responsibility to obtain it from NDIS.
Writing Reports for NDIS or Disability Support Pension (DSP)
Completing reports for the NDIS or DSP can be complex and time-consuming. While our primary expertise lies in providing hands-on therapy and managing our new patient waitlist, we are unable to assist with functional capacity assessments. However, for our existing, long-term clients, we can provide short supporting letters to aid with NDIS or DSP applications. Please note that these letters are not sufficient for NDIS access by themselves, as comprehensive reports from an external Occupational Therapist are typically required.
It is also important to know that NDIS guidelines recommend the health professional providing supporting evidence has been treating the applicant for at least six months. To ensure the delivery of high-quality supporting letters or reports, we require at least 12 weeks’ notice for such requests. All reports are charged at the treating therapist’s hourly rate. Keep in mind that even for urgent changes in circumstances, the NDIS processing time can take up to six months.
Please note:
– Any outstanding invoices not covered by NDIS will be the client’s responsibility.
– From 30 June 2025, Therapeutic supports will only be funded through Capacity Building budgets.
Thank you for trusting us with your therapy needs. If you have any questions about our NDIS-related services, feel free to contact our friendly team.
