A common misconception that we hear a lot is ‘I thought physio was just for sports people!’
And while we do treat and manage a lot of sports and exercise related injuries- that’s not all that we’re about. And it’s definitely not the most common type of patient that we see in our clinic.
For a lot of our patients, their goal is to simply get through their daily activities without pain!
Being able to recover from an injury and play in the grand final is a great goal (and we can definitely help you with that!) - but for a lot of the general Samford population and our patients, their goal can be as simple as:
- Waking up without pain or stiffness
- To walk as far as they like without pain
- To complete their work comfortably
- To get out in their garden without the fear of aggravating their condition!
And it doesn’t have to always be about ‘pain’! Weakness, stiffness, dizziness and poor balance - all of these complaints and more are improved with quality Physiotherapy management.
