The Benefits of the ‘In-Line Method’ of Clinical Pilates & Yoga

The ‘In-Line Method’ of Clinical Pilates & Yoga is a unique combination of equipment-based exercise performed on specifically designed spring-loaded resistance equipment and Yoga developed by highly experienced Physiotherapists and Yoga Instructors.

This unique method of exercise requires total concentration and focus, as you move your body through precise ranges of motion while lengthening and stretching all of the major muscle groups in your body in a totally balanced and controlled fashion. Each exercise has a prescribed placement, rhythm and breathing pattern.
You will start your session with 5 minutes of profound stretching, designed to prepare your body for optimal toning and you will complete your session with 5 minutes of relaxation.
Your muscles are not worked to exhaustion, so there is no sweating or straining, just intense concentration. You will move through a slow, sustained series of exercises using abdominal control and diaphragmatic breathing and you will be focussing on the quality of each posture throughout your session. The In-Line Method is modified to suit each individual and all exercises are regularly re-evaluated to ensure they remain appropriate as physical improvements are made.

Due to the individual attention, this method can suit everybody including:

  • elite athletes
  • older people with limited mobility
  • pregnant women
  • new mums12494862_986704888079084_4352016332260898040_n

  • people needing rehabilitation after illness, injury or surgery
  • and people just wanting to improve their general fitness.

At In-Line Physio & Allied Health, 6 Main Street Samford, we currently offer 22 Classes a week at a variety of times to suit most people. However, due to its popularity and health benefits, we are expanding our ‘In-Line Method’ Pilates Studio to accommodate more Reformers and thereby offer even more classes with a maximum of 5 participants per class. We’ll be starting classes earlier in the mornings and later in the evenings so that commuters and busy parents have the opportunity to join us. Also, we’ll be restructuring our pricing as we offer unlimited use of the ‘In-Line Method’ Studio on a weekly basis.
