The ‘In-Line Method’ of Clinical Pilates & Yoga

The ‘In-Line Method’ of Clinical Pilates & Yoga is a unique combination of equipment-based exercise performed on specifically designed spring-loaded resistance equipment and Yoga developed by highly experienced Physiotherapists and Yoga Instructors.

Key Features of the ‘In-Line Method’

This unique method of exercise requires total concentration and focus, as you move your body through precise ranges of motion while lengthening and stretching all of the major muscle groups in your body in a totally balanced and controlled fashion. Each exercise has a prescribed placement, rhythm and breathing pattern. You will start your session with 5 minutes of profound stretching, designed to prepare your body for optimal toning and you will complete your session with 5 minutes of relaxation. Your muscles are not worked to exhaustion, so there is no sweating or straining, just intense concentration. You will move through a slow, sustained series of exercises using abdominal control and diaphragmatic breathing and you will be focussing on the quality of each posture throughout your session. The In-Line Method is modified to suit each individual and all exercises are regularly re-evaluated to ensure they remain appropriate as physical improvements are made.
