Nicki qualified as a physiotherapist in 1999 and has over 18 years’ experience as a Physiotherapist in the UK, New Zealand and Australia within both the public and private sector.

She has a wealth of experience in hospital rehabilitation, clinics, GP practises and visiting people at home.  She has completed a wide range of post graduate courses to improve her skills in manual therapy, joint mobilisations, soft tissue mobilisations and massage, acupuncture, dry needling, Pilates and neurological therapy for clients who have had a stroke, MS, Parkinson’s, brain injury and other long term conditions.

Nicki is experienced in treating the following conditions at the clinic and is available for home visits for people who are unable to make it to the clinic due to their condition, to improve function at home.

Spinal Problems - including slipped disc, back pain, Sciatica, Lumbago, stiff/painful Neck and trapped nerves.

Injuries – Any injuries to muscles, ligaments and tendons can be treated. Including sprained ankles, Tennis Elbow, cartilage problems, shin splints, repetitive strain injuries and dislocations.

Joint Problems - Arthritis or injury, treating injury pain/swelling/stiffness in joints such as elbows, shoulders, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. Joint Replacements pre and post-op treatment to maximise recovery.

Fractures - Treatment may be given during the healing process and when out of plaster to regain strength and use.

Posture – Ergonomic advice for office workers and treatment for stress induced conditions.

Long-Term Conditions –  such as stroke, brain injury, multiple sclerosis (MS), or Parkinson’s helping with the ongoing management of conditions, in daily life or working to improve a new problem

Chronic Pain – pain that never seems to go away, advise and education can help you manage your condition and techniques such as dry needling, acupuncture and specifically tailored exercises can help make things more manageable.

Problems Associated with Ageing  – such as falls, managing at home or just getting more active and confident again after an operation, fall or injury.
